Electricity is a property associated with the presence and flow of electric charge – giving effects that we know such as electric current, lightning, static electricity. Electricity wasn’t really ‘invented’ as such – but it’s been observed and studied for many centuries. For example, a big link to the Royal Institution is that Michael Faraday’s research work led to electric motor technology.
