• Question: We are working on a project to encourage more female students to take Physics at A-level. Do you have any female colleagues or any of your own experiences that inspired them or you to continue with Physics?

That sounds like an awesome project to be working on, I am sure you’re going to inspire more female students to continue studying Physics.

I continued with Physics at A-level because I like to know how things works and you can answer a lot of those questions with it. It’s good to think about all of the things that were invented because of advances in Physics – MRI machines, telephones, and the internet!!

This sounds great! Nice one guys 🙂

I really liked the Space and Universe side of Physics which made me want to continue studying it at A-level. Just knowing how things like planes and rockets worked I found absolutely fascinating.

A good teacher though I think is really really important to keep people studying any science, especially physics. I had a great science teacher for GCSE who encouraged my interest in Physics, and another who ran an Astronomy club which was really fun, and also helped keep my interest.
