Question: In one of the Christmas Lectures - a battery was made out of lemons and other things. Do you think the same could be done with oranges?

  This would be possible as it is the citric acid in the lemon that means it is able to work as a battery. As citric acid is also present in oranges they could work in the same way, but oranges have a lower concentration of this acid so they would not be able to generate as much energy.
