Question: How many things do you work on a day and how long do you work a day before going to bed?

It really varies depending on the day. On days when I do an experiment using lasers it’s difficult to do anything else. So I usually just do that for about 6 hours (6 hours in a dark room is enough for me!)

But other days I might do lots of different things; including doing small experiments, have meetings and organising events. Typically I get into work at about 8:30am and leave at 5:30 – 6pm.
