Engineer making heat, hot water and electricity for you!
I am the manager of a control room, my team keep a close eye on 70 district heating schemes. District heating means instead of everyone having a boiler in their house for heating and hot water, there is one big central source of heat that gets send to everyone’s house through a network of pipes. This is a more efficient way of generating heat, so it’s better for the environment.
My Typical Day
Working with people in the Control Room in London to make sure we’re making enough heat and power.
